A system for the government agency that insures a country’s bank deposits. Commercial banks report their depositor data to it securely; the agency monitors exposure across the whole banking sector and can pay depositors out quickly if a bank fails.
Member banks upload depositor files encrypted, to a schema the platform enforces at the point of submission. A file that does not conform is rejected with the reason, and every submission is recorded with who sent it, when and what changed.
Insured totals by bank and by coverage tier are read directly from the accepted submissions, so the agency sees current exposure and early warning signs rather than last quarter’s position.
Eligibility, coverage limits and exclusions are computed from the depositor records, so the compensation list for any bank can be produced on demand. Onyx built the deposit insurance core system that Georgian banks report to.
